You can always watch the Show Live 3-5 pm ET, with a Rolling Post Game 5-7 pm daily Monday-Friday at www.theyoungturks.com The RPG often contains political talk but also many non-political topics to lighten things up (and yes, that audio may not necessarily be work-safe).

Also, if you can't watch live, the 3-5pm portion of the show (politics) streams the rest of the day, all day right after the Post Game Show ends leading up to the initial show at 3pm.

1. This deserves a rec for the fact that you put "maverick" in quotes alone!
The media is so stupid, the man is not a maverick!

2. I've asked this question many times...
When is the mainstream media going to stop referring to this guy as a "maverick"? I understand why he earned the title initially, but that time has long since passed.

In addition to his pro-torture vote http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2-oT5uQqxw&eurl , he also voted this week help give Telecom companies retroactive immunity, thereby ultimately shielding the Bush administration from investigation. Does a "maverick" enjoy helping to break the law and trample the Constitution?

Not to mention how back in 2000 (give or take) he referred to Jerry Falwell and his ilk as "agents of intolerance". Great, I agreed with him. Except that years later he found himself kissing Falwell's ass and speaking at his school.

Again I ask, does that sound like a maverick?

The media is apparently so lazy and stubborn that they just can't bring themselves to write a new narrative...they prefer to dust off the old one that's already written.

3. This is why I call him McLiar
McCain's negatives are so much that we must completely slam him in the General Election.

4. I'd call it Early Stage Dementia, remembering what you wish you did or said not what actually
occurred. Let's push for medical tests this election time. The country deserves to know the health risks of it's candidates, especially when one is of retirement age before he even begins the job.

I do not think this disqualifies McCain nor do I think the youngest person is the healthiest, or most qualified person. But realities must be acknowledged.

When my father got to be older he seemed to be loosing his hearing. It turned out he was just using selective listening, a prerogative that should be left to our elders. I submit McCain may be doing something similar, however we cannot have a president who selectively remembers events the way he wishes they were - I mean NOT AGAIN.

5. While you might be 1/2 joking, there is some truth there
Age IS a concern. Who is at their sharpest at 71, honestly? I think it's entirely fair to raise that as one of many factors in deciding who to vote for.
