2. All of that info is already available...this is nothing but hype. |

Why don't pizza places do this?
Because it's economically unwise...not because they don't have access to all of that info.
Relax, folks. There's enough truly scary shit out there without buying into tinfoilhattery.

It wouldn't bother you if your personal information became public, including your Social Security number, your work address, your medical records, your library records, records of all your purchases, or even your spouse's magazine subscriptions?
If the government set up such a system and it were available to corporations for free, how would it be "economically unwise"?
Unfortunately the end of the video was cut off, showing it was produced by the ACLU. And they, more than anybody else, can tell you about how the Bush crowd has been working towards this very sort of system.

5. My point is that the majority of that info is already available. |

Pizza places could do this now if they wished.
They don't because, even though they have the ability, there's no reason to do it.

3. You know...it probably isn't too far removed from reality... |

How scary is that? I especially enjoyed that there was a extra charge for the driver going through an orange zone...that one kills me!
Tinfoil hat or no - we better get used to similar situations, eh?
