U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

We have to accept some harsh truths: our military might be busted, we're in Iraq for awhile, Afghanistan is having some setbacks, and the 2008 campaign has degraded to stupid sex scandals. But at least we can still launch a missile and blow the piss out of a satellite in outer space. That'll keep the Psychlos from attacking Earth, and maybe scare a few non-compliant nations or two (e.g. Iran, DPRK, etc).

Let's just rewind this whole scenario a few clicks.

If there was to be orbited a satellite with a dangerous cargo of bad juice in its gut, they would have put on board, a self-destruct ability.
Since, in these pictures, we do not actually see the missle hitting the little dot of light (satellite) then why is it not, that the resultant explosion is NOT just the self destruct device going off in the satellite, and the missle had nothing to do with it. They only used the missle to FURTHER the aims of the Star Wars program with this "FREEBIE" public exerise, to SHOW the public that we can this kind of stuff, see. Just wait, the request for multi-billions in Star Wars is either sitting on some committee waiting for this "success" or is about to be introduced.

I do not TRUST those governing this country and I see that they use EVERY conceivable opportunity to further their agenda.
