That barely pays a semester of tuition these days. I like the concept. I like that we are moving in the right direction. But why the hell are we not all the way there yet.
In Germany, you are required to serve 1.5 year in the military or 2 years in social service. But you get completely free tuition, everyone.
Let's say you spend 4 years in college, that makes a total of 16,000. Nothing to pass off, true. But you can make that back in a few years by paying back a student loan in a good job. Which you won't be doing because you will be working a social service or military job for poverty wages.
Sigh!!
