3. Just imagine if that happened last week
Faux news would run banners on the TV "Has Bill Clinton gone mad?" and treat it the same way they treated Howard Dean's "anger problem"

23. Exactly what I was thinking
And it wouldn't just be Faux; MessedUpNBC and CNN would run it 18 times as well, though probably with slightly less-partisan heds.

We've come a short way, baby. :eyes:

the snipers to shoot to kill.

I will say it again. 911. I wanted Bill. I wanted my dad.
We got the grinch. ack!

and yeah! Tell em Bill! He was the Big Dog. And we have a really nasty stray now.
Makes me ashamed. And want to hide from the ugly.

I cannot get enough of it.

The last thing I want is "hillary". But I would almost sign my soul over to Bill.
He listened. He responded. His hands were tied by . bigger dogs.
Don't you think he would have cleaned house?

I'm sorry his legacy was the DLC. A lame duck. He was worth more.

5. what are we going to do about this?
how can we find someone else with that fire?

We must! We need another leader like that and We, The People, need to clear the way for him to act.

Am I a lone voice?

7. Now compare this to our current pResident.....
who is never even exposed to anyone that might take exception with his policies. He plays to hand picked, pre-screened, vetted sycophants who usually make remarks about how great he is instead of asking any real questions.
If there weren't term limits he would STILL be President and our country wouldn't be in the crapper like it is now. The beady-eyed, spoiled frat boy now squatting in the White House can't hold a candle to Clinton, never could, never will. All we an do is look forward to the day when a new President takes the reins of power from the man who is destined to go down in history as our worst President, ever.
I miss Bill.

8. yeah, Clinton did some things that I cannot forgive, but all in all
he was much better -- worlds better -- than the huckster who is in the driver's seat now. :-(

I've had RWers tell me that Clinton did the same. Nope, and here's the proof.

16. Compare that to any politician today, they are all afraid to stand up to criticisms
They think it make them look too overpowering to say engage in a debate.
I wish that Gore had been more forceful in his debates and I wish Kerry had responded to his attackers, the outcome from 04 may have been different if he had.

11. By not knowing what the heckler said how can you comment on the
interaction? The heckler might have been commenting on the increase in imprisonment of nonviolent criminals in the USA (mostly drug offenses) that happened under his administration or NAFTA or welfare reform or not helping the people of Rawanda. Clinton was far from perfect and it's very possible it was a lefty who was yelling at him. Later in his life Clinton did apologize for his nonactions in Rawanda and his actions against non violent criminals.

12. What about the economic sanctions on Iraq that killed
Edited on Wed Dec-13-06 08:41 AM by IndyOp
100,000's of the most vulnerable people - elderly, sick, children? Clinton participated in the destruction of that nation as much as Bush I and Bush II.

:(

Edit: To clarify, I am wondering if Clinton has had anything new to say about what he did in keeping the sanctions in place?

17. Kindly check out the date
of the tape. It was 1992, when, I believe, Clinton was my governor, and not yet President of the US. Perhaps the comments were about Whitewater, or him being the "failed governor of a small southern state", which was the meme they were using at the time.

I say this and didn't like Clinton all that much--but wanted to clarify the historical context of the tape.

19. don't think so - this was a political rally
Clinton says so when he says he has put up w/ the interruptions. This was before he was elected.

20. Since this is from 1992 it is unlikely he was
being heckled about any actions or inactions during his presidency which began in 1993.
