1. Dodd talks the talk AND accomplishes NOTHING.
No wonder he endorses BO.

7. Nope. Just plain fact.

Dodd has been saying he was going to SOMETHING about the credit card divisions of banks FOREVER. Results: NOTHING!
He and Chairman Do-Nothing Obama will make a great team of inaction.

9. Obama represents a clean break from 20 years of Bush/Clinton Dynasty
and Dodd knows that, which was writ large between the lines of his endorsement.

Where was Hillary during the FISA fight in the Senate?

10. Same place as obama during the FISA fight.
WJC did a pretty good job of cleaning up HW's financial and economic disaster. The same is expected from HRC aided by WJC and others. Hell, Chairman obama can't even call or have ANY meetings.

11. ahh? excuse me?
"Turley panned presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who skipped the politically tricky and controversial Senate vote on the spy law Tuesday even though she had been campaigning in Washington that day.

"It really, I think is symbolic of this disconnect ... here you've got someone who is campaigning for the President of the United States, making pitches to civil libertarians, but doesn't even show up -- when she's in the neighborhood -- to vote against telecom immunity," Turley charged. "I'm not just dumping on her. The fact is there has been a lot of really duplicitous work being done by both parties."

Republican John McCain and Barack Obama both voted on amendments to the measure; Obama opposed telecom immunity, while McCain supported it. Clinton left town early to get to a campaign stop in Texas."

16. It's not a dynasty. It's democracy
People could have elected Dole or Bush Sr. instead.

18. call it what you want. I don't trust the curious Bush/Clinton coziness
and I find it hard to believe that these two families are the best America can do in terms of leadership.

God]/Goddess help us if that is truly the case, cuz look where it's gotten us: NAFTA, Iraq War, Police State, etc.

it's time for a change, and voters across the nation are feeling it in their bones and showing up and putting
feet to the ground in Obama campaigns and I think that's a very good thing for America.

8. Then 'WE' might ask ourselves how voters could possibly support...........
Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 01:57 PM by Double T
a person who is Chairman of a Committee that holds NO meetings and has voted MORE THAN 130 times just 'present'. How can a guy like this become THE decider when his track record is to do NOTHING. Sorry, I'm just NOT feelin' the LOVE for obama and I'd have to be touched in the head to support HIM.

14. The Clintons did nothing for 8 years
Bogged down by scandal and republican attacks for 8 years the Clinton administration was a complete waste. And don't try to say they fixed the economy or balanced the budget because they didn't. The economy was riding a technology bubble brought on by the rise of the internet and then paranoia of y2k. The Clinton administration had nothing to do with fixing the economy. They did nothing to fix the environment. They did nothing to fix campaign finance. They did nothing to fix health care. I really can't think of anything that they did fix. The most we could give the Clintons credit for is making Right Wing radio host famous and giving rise to a right wing movenment in our country that allowed republicans to take over the house and senate. Our country is the same now as it was 20 years ago when Bush SR took office. Clintons held the status quo pretty good. I don't think we need another 4 years of do nothings like the Clintons in the white house.

17. No, you are wrong on this (though I am FOR Obama bigtime !).
There were MANY positive accomplishments during the Clinton years: family and medical leave; motor voter bill; Americorps; YES he did do deficit reduction and budget balancing that worked to leave us with a surplus for the first time in a hell of a long time and helped the economy; the Bosnia action with NATO was an example of the RIGHT way to do a military operation and for the right reasons and with the right outcome; he did a lot of middle east peace work; he at least improved the situation on the military sexual orientation issue; his peace work via envoys in Northern Ireland was excellent; we were better off after Clinton than we were after Reagan/Bush, and he deserves some real credit for it. But there were also numerous scandals (some of which he is responsible for), Hillary's healthcare bill was done VERY poorly, and he gave us NAFTA which on balance has been AWFUL. On the whole, we Dems tend to very much admire the Clinton years overall. But now MANY of us are ready for a NEW era, whereas Hillary returns us very much to past governing dynamics and past baggage. She is also VERY polarizing and would gin up the Republican base bigtime. Of our two candidates, Obama is the better choice for this moment in history.

Ever hear of the Family and Medical Leave Act??? How about that for the tip of the iceberg.
Hate to bring you down to Earth, but this good man Chris Dodd has done PLENTY in the Congress. Try doing some research next time.
