CSPAN at 9:30 pm ET tonight (Saturday): rally in St. Louis
CSPAN is broadcasting Obama rally in St. Louis tonight at 9:30 pm ET. On TV and live streaming at cspan.org. (Also, I'm sure they'll keep it up as video archive for at least a few days, and prob will also rebroadcast.. ).

1. I saw it--it started about 45 min. late
It was good, and he spoke very well although this might have been his third rally today, after Minneapolis and Idaho, if I got it right. Whew. Good thing he's so "young", right?

I like the way he just takes the facts to the people, plain and simple.

3. His message so progressive, yet style inclusive.
When I think of Hillary, beyond resentments of giving us Bush to hold her place, and concern for the ethics, being the past, she is cautious, and not a leader.

Do the Dems really think people want Bill back?

Obama has had to be canny, inclusive and courageous his whole life. He showed leadership on tough issues, like immigration his first year and ethics reform. I hope Edwards supporters begin to understand they have in Obama all they wanted with Edwards, and more.

A funny story about his poker playing to bridge the gap and assumptions about Democrats.

4. rally
I just got back - well a bit ago but was downloading my pictures from my camera - unfortunately many of them turned out pretty blurry. Boy am I tired - we had to stand from 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM. I was supposed to volunteer, but when we got there and finally got in they had too many volunteers, so they didn't need us, but luckily we got to get into the rally and got right up close. I would have maybe been able to shake Obama's hand but a woman who was behind me pushed me out of the way to try to get to him - err... Some people are just so rude. Oh well. They said there were over 20,000 people there.

Here are a few pictures though that did turn out.

5. I considered going
but the thought of all that standing was too much for this lazy middle aged woman, not to mention I would have had to do it all alone, not fun. Just curious: how long did you have to wait outside before getting in?

6. Wait
Well, it was a bit different for the volunteers, because we were supposed to go to a certain entrance at 5:00, and since so many volunteers showed up (even ones who hadn't signed up to volunteer) and everyone had to go through the screening I got into the building about 6:30. Obama didn't speak until 9:00 and the event ended a little after 10:00, so in all I was standing about 5 hours. However the doors didn't open for the general public until 7:00 PM.
