I am watching Michelle Obama in Madison, Wisconsin right now..... and I am wishing that I could marry her.... and I am straight! but damn that is one impressive woman! If ever I could switch teams, it would be easy for someone as amazing as her!

1. I want her to be my best girlfriend |
|
I think she is just terrific and would be the best friend in the world. I want her in the White House just as much as them.

2. I know she has said she does not plan to run.... |

but I hope in the next 8 years we could change her mind. That is one strong woman! I would love to have a woman in the White House - not just any woman, but the RIGHT woman. That is not Hillary! But I could certainly see it being Michelle. She is sharp as a tack, incredibly articulate, and an amazing advocate for Barack. I only hope folks will work on her while she serves as First Lady :-)

3. She just seems like such a nice, decent person |

Well-grounded. Well "brought up". A true home-grown Midwestern type, too--you know? (not trying to insult other regions, but we kind of pride ourselves on these kinds of qualities.)
And she's bright and attractive. Fascinating to listen to when she gives a speech. The fact that we'll be getting her and their two cute kids really adds to the potential that Obama brings. What a great First Family to present to the world! It might just un-do most of the crappy reputation * and co. have created for us these last years.
She doesn't need to be officially in office to have a MAJOR impact. Let Obama worry about policy; Michelle will do just as much good setting the image, tone and priorities for the new administration. She's got the grace of Jackie Kennedy, but with greater education, speaking ability, and her own mind.
