Aloha !!!
I wanted to share these pics of posters that my friend's Mother made for GOTV and caucusing in Hawaii yesterday. She was also quite upset with Senator Inoye who she said showed up in Hawaii for the first time in 40 years to attend the caucus and cast his vote for HRC. He was on a morning news program there and said "It was exciting to see the turnout ~ hasn't seen anything like this except when Hawaii first became a state in 1959 ~ but I am still going to give my super-vote to Hillary Clinton as long as she is in the campaign. My friend's mother's response "When a senator doesn't listen to the people they represent it is time to replace them! Time for a change shouldn't just be with our presidents!"

Enjoy!

1. Aw...nice!
I vacationed in Hawaii in 2001 and absolutely loved it. Didn't want to come home. Sure looks good now, when it's only +10 degrees and we're expecting another Arctic blast shortly.

2. I lived there
for 2 and a half years when my husband was in the Navy, lived a block away from Waikiki Beach. It was wonderful and truly a paradise. But... my husband only enjoyed it for maybe a total of 6 months as he had back to back cruises to Vietnam and when they were in, they had to go out to sea five days a week to practice war games. I would of never dreamed of living in Hawaii at 20 years old and it was so much better then living in the snow belt in N.Y. The only downfall was not being able to go home being it was 6,000 miles away and I did get lonely for family but as many perceive that being liberal and being one of the troops is impossible, hogwash, my husband was in the service for 20 years and no one knew our political choice, it was never mentioned. I will be so happy to see the military not being used as a political tool when Barack Obama is president.

3. Those are great signs! Thanks for posting, Fedup!
I haven't lived in HI since 1979 and I was just beginning to be politically aware then, so I won't say I know enough about Inouye's record to comment, but I have been *very* disappointed in some of his Senate votes since I started paying attention in 2005. I get the impression that he's prone to political dealmaking, which would fit with his support of HRC.

I totally agree that he should use his superdelegate vote to express the wish of his constituents!!! And if he doesn't, I also agree that it's time to evaluate his representation as a whole.

Has Akaka thrown his support in with either candidate, do we know?

I'm sure proud of the people of Hawai'i for their votes yesterday!

4. Inoye
has been a deal maker with Senator Stevens for years, I have cringed at some of his votes. I'm not sure how long my friend's Mother has lived there but she does keep up with what her representatives are doing. Akaka sides with Stevens too, but I don't know if he has endorsed yet.

5. Yeah, those were some of the votes I meant!
Voting for drilling in the ANWR when they know better than most how precious a natural heritage can be from their own state was inexcusable, deal or no deal.
