Obama Interview with Jon Delano of KDKA Pittsburgh

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. (KDKA) ― Sen. Barack Obama launched his campaign in Pennsylvania this afternoon and sat down with KDKA-TV Political Editor Jon Delano for an exclusive interview.

He spoke to workers at a wind turbine plant in Fairless Hills, Pa., a suburb of Philadelphia.

It's the first sit-down interview Obama gave to a television reporter in Pennsylvania. (Watch the uncut interview)

Delano: "When you think Pittsburgh, what comes to mind?"

Obama: "Steelers, you know when I was a kid we didn't have our own football team, I was growing up in Hawaii and this is back in the early 70's, so the Steelers, that was my team. I used to root for Franco Harris and Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swann, Stallworth and all those guys."

that PA isn't a done deal for HRC. Give Obama a few weeks to get aquainted and I bet he eats into her numbers by quite a bit. :)

2. You're right on that - I wonder who Franco Harris is backing

Franco is a Democrat and did numerous appearance at Kerry rallies in 2004. Be great to see him out there on stage with Obama. Franco still lives in the Pittsburgh area. Also wondering who local sportscaster Stan Savrin is supporting. Stan is also a Democrat, and he is great as an MC at local Democratic events. There was even talk a few years ago of Stan running for Congress. He's very knowledgeable on issues and politically.

And I bet Lynn Swann will be out stumping for McCain like he did for Bush in 04.
