Obama supporters must be staying out of GD-politics
I put out two positive posts about Obama today and they got scant attention. One about Obama closing in on HRC's lead among super delegates and another about How Jimmy Carter handled his troubles with his church in '76 and like Carter, Obama will handle this well. Nothing. Instead just the flame-bait from Hillary supporters keep getting the high counts. What a commentary.

1. I wish I had posted before
I have been coming to the DU website since 2001 and I love DU. I'm really shy and introverted so I didn't post at all and still don't know all the rules about it. But I am so passionate about Barack Obama that I feel like I want to get in on the discussion so I'm trying to post now. But I'm staying in the Barack Obama Group until I get more posts. It seems like people really jump on people who don't have many posts and call them "trolls" and stuff. I'm a delegate for Obama in my little precinct in WA State and I'm trying to speak up more and be more assertive. I've got enough posts to recommend today so I've been recommending the Pro Obama posts in GDP today. :)

2. that's probably a good idea--stay here a while
You will immediately be called a troll if you give any strong opinions on anything in GDP.

5. I've been here
Don't be dispirited by how one day goes. :)

"We know the road ahead will be difficult. None of the problems we face will be easy to solve and change will not happen overnight. It will take a new spirit of cooperation and sacrifice. It will require each of us to remind ourselves that we rise and fall as one nation; and that a country in which only a few prosper is antithetical to our ideals and our democracy." -Sen. Obama

7. Pleasure to recommend it
I have never figured out what "kick" is though. God, that is embarrassing to admit but maybe somebody could tell me.

8. Think of the Dem donkey symbol.
When you "kick" a thread, you're bumping it to the top so that more people will see and read it.

We use "kick" while other websites (not dedicated to Dems) use "bump." That's 'cause we're way cooler than they are.

9. Thanks!!
I felt stupid for asking, but I really wanted to know. Theres a lot of things I'm still learning about but I'm feeling more comfortable posting every day. I guess everybody is new to it sometime. I do like kick better than bump and we are way cooler-I totally agree.

10. Glad to help. Please don't feel that asking a question
is stupid. That's how we learn.

I know you're smart just because you're a Barack supporter! Speaks loud and clear to me.

And, welcome to posting in DU; don't be shy -- it's nice and safe over in this forum.

11. I think I'll hang out here more.
The all out nastiness on GD: P has finally gotten to me.

I've noticed how all the most negative threads about both candidates end up at the top all the time. I want to hear positive things about how the Dems will win in Nov.... because I believe we will win and Obama will be the next President. I'm so excited about having a Pres who can speak intelligently and lead this country back to greatness!
