I hope Gore and Carter will endorse Obama
I know endorsements don't really mean much these days overall, but with the infighting going on and the chances that this could go all the way to the convention, I think that Gore and Carter may intervene at some point to put their prestige behind one of the candidates and I think chances are they would go with Obama. I know most of Carter's family is with Barack and Carter himself has said nice things about Obama and his campaign and relations between Carter and the Clinton's have always been cool at best. As for Gore he was Bubba's VP and if he were to come out against Hill that would be a very strong statement. But it has been said from many sources that Hill tried to be seen as the number two during the Clinton years and ruffled Gore's feathers. Gore also favored Dean in '04 and the Clinton's despise Dean and are hostile to his fifty state campaign (which is very evident in this campaign becuz only certain states "count" according to the Hillbots--states Hill won).

1. I hope so too
I think it would help him. A lot of people respect what they think. It looks like they would consider that the longer this primary fight goes on the more it is helping McCain in the GE. Maybe their voices could make a difference. What would the Repub primary be like if Mitt Romney had kept fighting all the way to their convention even though he was behind? He could have paid for most of it himself if he wanted to do it. I think their primary would be even nastier.

4. They are collecting people of like minds, and gaining proxies of Supers...
Essentially, much like a states says "we the sate of so and so cast x votes for......" Vote blocks do the same thing. So movement is in chunks and pushes close to closure quickly. Their was a hint to this in the mainstream a few weeks ago when thee was discussion of a fifty superdelegate Obama block.
