heads up: bad poll news coming our way but don't fret... |
|
Survey USA has new numbers for Ohio and MO which show Hillary winning Ohio while Obama is losing by 7. In MO she's only two points down while Obama is double digits down and she runs much better in KY than O at this point.
The thing to remember is that each of those polls were taken at the height of the media "Wright Frenzy" and before O's outstanding speech on race. So I would, at this point discount any poll which was taken at the low point of the campaign. Let's see how the speech plays. I think Obama will recover a lot of ground in the next week or so.

1. Thanks for the explanation and vote of confidence. |

There's a post over in GD-P (shudder, shudder) about today's Gallup showing Hillary leading Obama. And I'm sure there'll be more.
If it were up to me, I'd discount polls altogether.

2. Folks need to realize that there's over a month until the next primary |

Things can change rapidly during election season. Obama definitely has a lot of work to do. But in that sort of time-frame, it's definitely do-able. A month is an eternity in politics.
