Check it out----> Hillary says Troops in Iraq 50 YEARS!!!
Clinton told a group of young veterans in Lancaster, Pa., on Tuesday that one lesson of the war is to not commit troops “unless you are prepared to go all the way and are prepared to be successful.”

Questioned about her plans to begin withdrawing troops within 60 days after taking office, Clinton said U.S. forces already have fulfilled the mission they were assigned.

She said the Iraqi government has failed to create a stable political system despite the U.S. effort. “Does that mean we stay for 10 years, 30 years, 50 years? And if at the end of it the Iraqis still haven’t gotten their act together, we’re going to be facing the same tough questions.”

She is sounding more like McDubya every day.

I'm out of posts in GD: P, someone should take this there.

1. That is what's important!
I'm so pissed off because it seems like everybody is still harping about this irrelevant pastor thing and something like this just gets shoved under the rug. Why is who your pastor is more important than keeping US Troops in Iraq for many more years? I have 4 draft age sons and I am frustrated this morning. I've had MSNBC on for 30 minutes and they have talked about Obama's pastor and played snippets from that sermon several times. I keep trying to turn off the news and keep going back to it. They keep making it easier to turn them off. Sorry for the rant. I want to stay positive but find it hard sometimes.

2. watching cable= stress!
They really are a bunch of silly people (well Obama said it's the silly season.) And I'm really happy not to hear Pat and Joe--some of the silliest of the bunch.

I watch Keith and that's pretty much it. And get my news from ABC and PBS where things are sane.

I know the temptation though--it's hard not to look sometimes.

Just keep in mind: barring something really unusual, Obama will be our nominee.

3. Thanks for reminding me
I think that I am going to take a break from the news today (except Keith-I never miss him). Instead I'm going to make some new earrings from some new pearls I got the other day and re watch Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth that I taped on SciFi last night. More fun and much better than MSM news. Thanks for reminding me that Obama will be the nominee baring some unforeseen & huge thing happening. That fact kind of gets lost in all the crap they say on TV. I'm a Obama delegate to my Legislative District Caucus soon. That is something cool to look forward to. Gobama!!

4. I've visited your neck of the woods and it's beautiful there.
My daughter lived in Seattle for a while.

I'm trying to dial it back too--time to take a break before the general heats up this summer. Other daughter getting married this summer so there's lots of other things to do! :)

6. I totally agree
And thanks for the warning that MSNBC is still covering this rediculous story. I'll make sure to just listen to music while I'm at the gym, or maybe I'll bring "Dreams from my Father" with me.

Don't let the military get their hands on those sons of yours!

5. !00% Obama, but quote doesn't reflect agreement.
More like in 50 years, we'd still be facing the same bad choices. What to do?

7. You know, it may be sexist, but what I want from the first female president is someone who will say:
You do not commit troops - PERIOD!

War is not the answer, there has to be another way.

I don't know, I'm just the kinda person who thinks that the world would be different, AND BETTER, if women were the leaders, but Clinton is kinda putting a halt to my idealistic nature.

Carter said it very well in his Nobel Lecture: "War may sometimes be a necessary evil, but no matter how necessary, it is always evil..."
