Some good poll news for Obama in NC and Oregon today |
|
From PPP--Obama up by 20 in NC, 54-34 From Survey USA--Obama still up by 10 in Oregon 52-42
I posted in GDP.
This will blunt a not so great poll out of Indiana from Survey USA showing Obama down by 15.

1. One of the reasons I believe he's up by 20 in NC |
|
is because he actually has a presence in parts of the state other than the heavily populated, Charlotte, Greensboro and Triangle areas. I live in Northeastern NC and we get ignored even by our own politicians. Obama has an official office a Elizabeth City (a small city / large town), and has staffers working outreach to the more rural surrounding areas. (I can't speak for what's going on in the other parts of the state, but I would assume it's much the same.) Here on the Outer Banks we've opened an unofficial, grassroots headquarters but had someone from the campaign come and speak to us on Sunday. They have also provided (some) support - which is a hell of a lot better than no support. (Once he wins the nomination, I'm hoping that the support will increase.)

2. The strange thing about Pennsylvania polls is the very high undecideds |
|
You are right that the Indiana poll is the sore one sticking out.
