Based on the results of the April 22 primary, 158 pledged delegates are awarded to presidential candidates; of these, 103 are awarded proportionally based on the results in each of the state's 19 Congressional districts (with districts that have performed well in the past granted more delegates), and 55 are awarded proportionally based on the results statewide. The remaining delegates attend the national convention unpledged; of these, three are selected by the state Democratic committee, and the rest are either party leaders or elected officials.

1. Interesting. Did the districts that have performed well in the past happen to be

in Obama areas? I think something similar happened in Texas -- the African American areas had much higher turnout for the 2004 election than some other regions so those areas had more delegates.

According to the data above, 127 out of 158 pledged delegates have been awarded -- that leaves 31 delegates that still haven't been assigned yet. Maybe those 31 delegates belong to the 45 districts that haven't reported yet?
