1. I find the Kucinich vs. Obama poll even more disturbing.

It shows how DU is disconnected. As I said in that thread, I know one person who would vote for K over the Pres. I work at a university in the most liberal department on campus (urban affairs) and that is the extent of the Kucinich support -- one person!

The thing is, pure non-factual, non-reality based thinking is now pretty much pervasive on DU and I'm not sure what the point of reading this stuff is anymore, compared to, say, DailyKos.

DU is so far out of the mainstream it's laughable. Kucinich had plenty of support here in 2004 and 2008 during the primaries and how much of the vote did he get in the real world? It's ridiculous.

It is against the rules to call out any particular post or poster but they are not difficult to find. They take great pride in being first to light the fire and feel that smashing very hard on a keyboard with angry epithets is actually doing something.

orthodoxy that's permeating DU..I just wondered if it was the same.

Along with that immediate exodus from Afghanistan stance there is a concerted effort to spread as much propaganda far and wide as possible.

The only thing they won't talk about is the reality of what has been said and done.
