I posted a couple of comments, but I think I'm going to hunker down, and let this latest brush fire roll over. It's just to nasty today. Even borderline (or subliminal) racist comments have been posted.

Every damn time something big happens in the news the screeching and raging begins anew. It lashes out at everyone. No one is spared. Folks who post reasonable "action" threads, people who request that others calm down and have a rational discussion, and of course President Obama, all get attacked.

These public temper tantrums are pointless. They change nothing. They only serve to make people think Democrats are as crazy as tea baggers.

about 30 minutes ago. We also believe that Repugs have taken over DU. We also were talking about Skinner's position on this.. Shouldn't D.U. be supportive of President Obama as a Democrat? And being relegated to this forum (I also have contributed money to D.U.) is really unbelievable. If I was a computer whiz (which I definitely am not) we were talking abut starting another web site for people that support The President. Also, I'm also wondering why the Dems aren't addressing the Internet issue. This is a fight fire with fire situation.

Dennis would be the savior of the universe, is fundamentally flawed. First, Kooch would have to have radical plastic surgery. And secondly, like any other Democratic president he would have to have a filibuster proof Senate. And thirdly, Liebermann, Lincoln, Bayh, and Ben Nelson would have to be swept from office and replaced by more progressive Senators. None of this is going to happen.

With the possible exception of Liebermann, all of these conservative senators are quite popular in their home states. So I'm not quite sure how Prez Obama is supposed to rein in these folks, where they're more popular than he is. And if Obama is unpopular in these states, can you imagine how they would feel about a Kooch?

People should hate the process...not this president.
