Where Did Democratic Underground Go?
Edited on Wed Dec-16-09 10:46 AM by Connie_Corleone
I just read a thread about Obama taping a holiday message to the troops that will be aired during a WWE show.

The responses on that thread are absolutely disgusting. It's like they're talking about Bush!

Another thread is asking if we would be better off with a republican president. Better with McCain (bomb bomb bomb Iran) and Palin (I have furr'n policy experience cuz Russia is close to Alaska). Yeah, right.

I think my time on this board is winding down. I rarely post here anymore. It's time to go back to the real world and leave KucinichLand.

without the open racism. Maybe thats the way the powers that be want it.

Seems as if the 'no name calling' and 'general support for dems' rule went out the window.

I alerted on this, but I don't care anymore...this is an open board now...no discussion.

9. I fear we've elected President Lieberman. Just younger, better looking, and more articulate.
Actually we elected a continuation of the Cheney administration. What have we gained by electing Obama
1. We are now rebuilding Afghanis than obviously at American taxpayer expense
2. The Insurance company dreambill will be a big dagger in the lives of the middle class
3. With no provision to cap the mandatory premiums Its worse than even if Bush would have bombed America
4. Outsourcing of good paying jobs continues

The worst ones are the partisan cheerleaders like Stephanie miller. Y'day she was all joyous about the bill but today changed the tune after the outrage.
OBAMA = Other Backstabbing And Moronic Asshole
Now the vermin viper is trying to peddle this as a victory. Can you get any more pathetic. If Bush could pass the tax cuts for the filthy rich with 51 votes. So why wouldn't Obama do the right thing unless he received a good chunk from the insurance companies. If democrats get washed out in 2010 I think they deserve it.

2. me too
I don't post often, especially on political topics (still active in smaller group forums for now). But I'm probably not going to pay for access when my year expires. Other sites are better, particularly Daily Kos (the articles, not the diaries), and other smaller blogs. This place has become a trash heap, a haven for the anti-intellectual.

6. A haven
for the perpetually disgruntled.

The slacker who nothing is never good enough. They were bitching when the Public Option was in so they're like the little boy who cried wolf, afaic.

3. I won't donate to this site any more.
Not with the anti-Democrat, anti-Obama bs that is allowed to be posted, and the lack of tombstones for those advocating against the Democratic party and President.

9. It is truly vile on DU today. The worse I've ever seen it.
You would think Bush was still in office.

Someone wants Bernie Sanders to be president in 2012. I like Sanders, but how is he going to get 60 senators from a different party to vote for a single payer system?

Some people just don't think. They're fueled by emotions instead of being rational.

10. They are saying things like that to get a reaction out of us.
Most of the crap they post is flamebait, spewed just to cause dissent and tear the Democratic party apart.

I doubt they mean it. I doubt they are even Democrats.

4. All the haters are coming out of
woodwork because they think they smell Obama blood in the water but this will pass and they'll be left dangling by a kucinich thread.

So far I just hide the threads calling for idiocy and post on the ones for action or news that is actually happening.

Maybe a break? I already miss you.:)

11. I am so sick of the fools on DU
I could scream. There is no way in this country to battle the media and the insane republicans and get all the changes we would want. I can't stand most of DU anymore, they seem to want this country and the Democratic Party to fail so they can say "I told you so" about 10 minutes before the Republicans step in and make things worse than we ever imagined.

The people on DU are as disgusting as teabaggers now, just sickening, they are like talking to the fucking religious right. They have no idea what the nut case teabaggers would do with the whole lot of them if given the chance, living in a "red" state the people at DU are Rush Limbaugh's wet dream right now. Fools!

DU was the first site I would go to in the morning and now I'll *maybe* check it if I get a chance.

15. Half of those folks haven't even read the bill.....
They just got themselves some catch phrases and are hopping on board of the Kool Kid "Crush the Democrats" train. It's the "in" thing.

16. How easily they forget
That they'll have to get Rush Limbaugh to scoot his fat-ass over on that crush the Democrats train to make room for them.

Nice allies they have now. But of course, they can't be bothered to think of that, they have "principles", and "being right" is better than working to build a better country.

these posts. I mean aren't other dem pols given much more leeway than this. What is the reason? I am afraid to post my thoughts because I will be routinely attacked.
