There are no debates on DU, only superior pronouncements |
|
most lacking any backup evidence.
So let's just understand DU for what it does, and debate ain't even remotely a part of it, except for in maybe 2 threads out of 50!
Everyone has an opinion, and at this time, most of them smell like A_S! that's it in a nutshell!

1. Absolutely spot on correct, Frenchie! |
|
I hate those f***ing pronouncements from upon high that people like to make, and they way the completely attack you if you disagree, or dare to ask for evidence to support what they are busy pronouncing.
I've stayed completely and totally away from GD and GDP today, and my mood is pretty damned good!

2. people are just being assholes now |
|
on threads that have nothing to do with an issue that they disagree with they just put in asshole responses.
i think they are frustrated that Obama's poll numbers have gone up. they think they represent "the people". hahhaha
in some ways i wish they would challenge Obama in a primary . of course when they lose they will just blame some conspiracy.

6. It represents a minority of Democrats. |
|
And I think thsi may confound some members who can't understand why Congress and the Obama Administration does what it does because they might believe that DU is representative of Democrats in general

4. Propaganda rules the day. |
|
The corporatemediawhores have a built in buddy with the leftwing hysterical bloggers.
If they put as much energy into a call to action for the Senate as they do hyperventillating about President Obama..something might actually get done.
Kucinich voted against the Bill in Congress..wasn't that a lot better Bill than the Senate?

5. That is the cae with many political forums |
|
Someone said not long ago that the person(s) we may be trying to convince is not the member(s) who we are having an exchange with but those members who may be following the arguement.

8. I get involved in good debates almost every week on DU, |
|
you just need to put your feelers out and look for them.
Seems like forever ago, but I have had a good debate with you. If I remember correctly, you won (you changed my mind).
There are some DUers who argue to learn, as opposed to win, though we all have our off days.
