I have about had it.
While I disagree with the administration on a number of issues (see below), I understand that 'you can't always get what you want'. This overnight Defcon 5 hatred we are seeing here is, well, pathological.
Differences:
AfPak: Probably a mistake. But, like Kerensky, I think the administration really had no choice.
HCR: My concern is that without a public option the Reich will politically turn the Democratic/Progressive flank on the 'mandate' issue through a faux populist campaign.

4. I think they have a point about the public option |
|
Obama clearly said the bill had to have it.
But then that must have been said without considering just what Senate would get elected. And not throwing health care improvements under the bus for not being able to get it out of this Senate.
I do get and feel the disappointment but I'm more inclined to put it on the Blue Dogs. I was not informed enough to realize that Democrats would fail to support the President's plan.

their anger on Obama. It's as if they don't think Congress has any power, and Obama has it all. Gah!

6. Yeah I wish they would spare some for Lieberman |

Instead of acting as if Obama is responsible for what Lieberdork does or should exercise some magical power over him.

they really thought that Obama was the "Magic Neg#$o" and would magically right all the world's wrongs in less than a year:sarcasm:
That's what they get for listening to rushbo, I could have told them it would have taken Obama at least 13mths to create utopia.

They got to spew all the hatred on a figurehead (and a well-deserved one) for 8 years, the election of a Democrat created a hatred vacuum and instead of working to get what we can in a nation where the media leans so far right, they simply find a new target for their hatred need, our President.
They are sick and disgusting and can't look at their own problems.

These people are used to blaming Republicans for everything-and it's a comfortable stance that means that there's no responsibility for the results of governance. Now Dems are in power, and taking charge-and there needs to be policy, not venting. And the real world is a bit more complicated-and thanks to 30 years of Republican ranting over the radio, in a lot of places, the only Democrats that can win have to be moderates. And this is the first year in over 16 that the Democrats in Congress have had the luxury of working with a Democratic President. That's quite an adjustment, itself-knowing as a Democrat, your ideas will not only be heard, but actually be enacted into law.
