I just want you all to know that I've changed my default link setting
to this Forum as what I will now see anytime I log into DU.

I have changed it, not because I want to "keep my head in the sand",
but because at this point, too many folks at DU are literally working to actively defeat the HCR Bill,
This President, and are promoting the defeat of the Democratic party in 2010.
These are not folks that I want to be associated with.
I don't watch Fox for a reason,
and I came to DU originally to be around relatively like minded people.

That is no longer what DU as a whole represents, except for in a couple of forums.

And in fact, I will be writing a letter to Skinner letting him know
that if I wanted to defeat myself, I wouldn't need a forum to do it.

5. Funny, many of us are doing the same thing

I use my bookmark tabs menu, firefox, and its the first one on the list where gd used to be. Gd's been bumped to third place already, may even loose it before its all said and done

Even looking at the front page of DU drives me nuts. People writing OPs where the title is literally screaming at me. Please. The louder someone screams, the less I am able to hear them. I don't mind opposing views, but when someone feels they have to scream (in typeface) and yell at me and insinuate or flat out say that I'm stupid or ignorant or a cheerleader or whatever, I just shut them out. There are better ways to have disagreements, to actually talk to each other, to perhaps learn, but more and more, people don't seem to think that's a good idea. They've taken to the Faux Noise method. Meh.

I also came to DU initially for the same reason. I used to go to Latest first, then Greatest. No more. I don't recognize either of them. You can find this kind of garbage at any ol' political forum on the net. DU used to be different. It was unique in its devotion to Democratic ideals, a place where we didn't have to wade through a chorus of negative nellies drowning out the good stuff. I am glad there is at least this small corner of sanity still intact here. I use the bookmarks toolbar (in Firefox), and have added this group there, so I can now just click to come here.

9. Good idea! I used to default to GD-P, then changed it to the Top Tens.

I may have to change it to just the Discuss section or, like you, to B.O.G.

off DU yesterday and just wanted to come back and check in with my Pres Obama buddies apres Christmas.

I think it's going to get crazier before it gets better but it will get a lot better..hey, it worked during the primaries.
