Where in the World is Matt Lauer's Spine?
Edited on Wed May-30-07 08:14 AM by gatorboy
or brain? Anyone see that embarrassing exchange this morning?

A Conoco CEO was on the Today show and one of his excuses for a oil profit gain of 15 BILLION from 3 BILLION in just under THREE YEARS was lightening strikes. Yes, lightening has gone mad over the past year and has shut down several refineries. And Matt sorta just shrugged and let him get away with it. I'm still fuming over this. If the man had been in a friggin' beauty pageant contestant, maybe Matt might have felt the urge to get a little more aggressive (You know how he gets around little girls. GGRRRR!). And don't talk to me about my addiction of oil, because last I checked, my gas use hasn't gone up 5 times what it was three years ago. AAARRGHHHH!!!

2. Lauer had his spine removed when his daddy got
those Reagan tax cuts. He hasn't felt the need for one since then.

4. Anyone know an email for the Today show I can send a response to?
I hope Crooks & Liars puts that video up next to Matt's Beauty Pageant interrogation video. It was so insulting I'm still pissed!

8. Look up the network site and you'll be able to find an address

for the show, probably not for Lauer himself. I figure they must count responses to the show, though, so it's worth complaining. I've been complaining to MSNBC lately, need to branch out to CNN, too.

5. You expect Matt Lauer to have an informed opinion?
He's a piece of camera fluff.

6. He had one?! You'd think he'd appreciate a medical miracle like that enough to
take care of it.

Anyway, I suspect he left it somewhere while he was filming that inane "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" bit.

What a fricking tool he is.

7. Great header! I had to quit watching the show, it made

me have "morning sickness."

You are brave to watch it and report in on it. I hope you'll e-mail them and complain. I've started doing that when I see such crap on tv, hoping they'll be "Imused."

10. Matt Lauer= WEENIE
Edited on Wed May-30-07 08:47 AM by sheeptramp
Matt Lauer.
He's worse than Sean Hannity . Worse than Rush Limbaugh.
Worse, Because the last two dont hide the fact that they are organs of the Bush administration.
Lauer is such an organ, masquerading as a sort of a newsman, or whatever the hell he's supposed to be.
The sockless pretty boy is an organ.

Matt Lauer is a weenie for Karl Rove.
weenies have no spines.

13. All right. I wrote it in and sent it off!
I’m not one to write in and complain about television shows like this but I have to admit, Matt Lauer’s fluff piece with Mr. Mulva this morning had me fuming!

Now granted, I didn’t expect Mulva (Well now THERE’S a Seinfeld joke name if I ever heard one!) To cave in and admit that they’re purposefully sticking it to us at the pump. But to sit there and accuse me, WITH Lauer’s help (“The fact is, we’re addicted to gasoline!.”) of being the culprit for high gas prices is deplorable. You’re telling me that their profit margin has risen from 3 BILLION to 15 BILLION in roughly THREE years because I’m using three times more gas then I did three years ago? Come on. COME ON, MATT! You’re killing me here!

And the lightning strike excuse! Now this is where Matt lost me. He sat there and let this man try to convince us that one of the numerous reasons gas has skyrocketed is because of numerous lightning strikes. What will next year’s excuse be? Fire ants?

Considering Matt’s normally rough interrogations of beauty queens on the show, I expected a little more from the man on the matter. This is an improtant issue! Matt could’ve really nailed Mulva’s oil profit excuses to the wall, exposing the greediness of his company AND chalk up a few respecto points with the American public at the same time. But instead, he gave this guy a free pass. Disappointing.

Let’s hope that the next time Mr. Lauer interviews one of these CEO’s, they happen to be a beauty queen. Hey, maybe it will be Tara Conner! Only then, apparently, will Mr. Lauer feel the urge to get a little aggressive.
