408 dead; Americas best & brightest dead. 2442 of our troups maimed. In April 102 or so died on the average 610 have been wounded each month during the past year.

So now we know that around 2850 families will be forever changed. Wives whose husbands are no longer there for their children. Mothers will grieve for their sons. Fathers will cry for their daughters. 2850 families.
