At what point shall we expect the approach of danger?
"At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some trans-Atlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us in a blow? Never. All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined could not, by force, take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years. At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected?

I answer that if it ever reach us, it must spring from amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we ourselves must be the authors and finishers. As a nation of free men, we must live through all times, or die by suicide."

-Abraham Lincoln

"As we think about this important front in the war against extremists and terrorists, it's important for our fellow citizens to recognize this truth: If we were to leave Iraq before the job is done, the enemy would follow us home."

-George W. Bush

"Now what I get a sense of from all of this -- and then topped obviously by spending all the money in 2000 to basically buy the election -- is that this is not a family that has a particularly strong commitment to American democracy. Its sense of how to win elections comes out of a CIA manual, not out of the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution."

-Kevin Phillips

Bush is a coward who has no faith in the American people. His cowardice spreads like a disease across this land with every invocation of terrorism. The greedy feed upon the fearful. Fear is his only tool. He is the harbinger of death.

1. Although I did not expect danger on Jan 20th 2001
That was pretty much the day that it entered our land.

Remember back in the day, how people voted for GW because he was the guy, not Gore, that you would prefer to have a beer with??
