Did anyone receive a chain email with the "Remember Me" video
...attached which supposedly was made by a 15 year old Ohio high school student by the name of Lizzie Palmer? Is it a hoax? I've seen unsubstantiated claims on some websites that it was contrived by a bunch of war monger neocons and propaganda moms who somehow got this young girls website and posted the piece there.

Thanks to all of you who helped expose the neocon war propaganda site “remember me” by Lizzie Palmer. Please do NOT blame Lizzie because she was duped into unknowingly aiding a group of hateful war monger “moms” who used unethical techniques to control her website. - hippietreehuger

Subject: Video by 15 yr old

The following is the hottest thing on the internet and on Fox News
today. Lizzie Palmer put this YouTube program together. She is 15

1. Its cute, but its too bad most people who make stuff like this and forward chain emails
don't actually give a fuck about the troops at all.

2. It seems this girl Lizzie is a made up piece of propaganda
...just like the Pentagon did with the Jessica Lynch hoax

3. ultimately it doesn't matter if she is real or not. It helps sell the image, yes,
but its like the whole "this old lady in the grocery store" stories. Doesn't matter if its true or not, debunking the truth of the story ignores the message.

4. The message is good, but the lies surrounding its creation
....corrupts the meaning of the message

5. I thought of Ava when I saw it.. like they needed a 15 yo on their side

to do what she is doing on ours. The message isn't as right wing as it could have been but it definitely had the 'support the troops like the repubs do' thing going on.

pathetic that it's all made up.

6. I totally agree with that video....
it is a very graphic portrayal of the fact that the heartache from this ill conceived war touches an ever growing number of people in very tragic way.

The place it is wrong is implying that if you oppose the war you hate the soldiers. No one I know in the ant-war movement hates the soldiers. MOst soldiers are just poor kids trying to find a way out of dire circumstances or who need help paying for college.

7. That was the other thing I noticed that the video images were way too
...slick, the soldiers being shown much to clean cut, professional looking, these were not our men and women over in Iraq out in the streets doing house to house battle with insurgents. They looked like models on sets and that was just one more deception by the fascist war propaganda machine of the Pentagon justifying and selling its actions and demands to the American people. No amateur 15 year old kid could or even would think to do such images let alone have access to them. But the Pentagon propaganda people with a $10 million production budget paid for from tax dollars certainly could and would carefully research, stage and produce such images for their maximum effect to win over mass opinion!
