Beware...Adobe Customer Support in India/Phlpns

I purchased an upgrade for my Adobe PSE 2.0 to 4.0 last Sept. About a week ago the PC that it was on crashed resulting in the loss of the program and the setup file that I downloaded from the online store.

Last week I made contact with their CS about getting a new setup file since they have taken the file off the download site and have gone to ver. 5.0...after about 20 minutes of trying to get the agent to understand and me repeating over and over my situation the women finally got the picture or so it seemed(she sounded like she was Filipino) she sais she would submit my case to another department and I would have my situation resolve in 48 hours via email.

Last Friday I got the email I was waiting for and after reading the statement I realized they had not resolved the issue so I went to the web site and spelled out my issue in detail...well yesterday I got another email telling me that I would have to call a certain number to get my resolution answered so I did....the call I made today was answered by a guy who sounded like he was in India...after 5 minutes of reexplaining to him my situation and giving him the case number he then told me that it would be another week to get the problem resolved....I told him quickly that wasn't satisfactory and he then started to give me the run around....I then asked him if his desk was located overseas he said no I asked him where he was, he said San Jose Ca I then said why cant you get on the phone to the main office and resolve this issue now....he then did more running around the bush...I asked for a supervisor.

His supervisor came on the line together with him and I and I had to repeat the whole story over again and then I asked...are you and the other agent in the same office building he said YES I asked him where he was he said Newark New Jersey...I asked him if San Jose was near Newark he said no I then said the other agent said he was in San Jose and you said you were in the building can you explain how that is possible to be in the same building 2000 miles apart....the first agent left the conversation and I went round and round with the supervisor and told him I either need the 4.0 file sent to me or I would like a 5.0 version in lei of the lack of the file...after 4 more trips around the bush he then agreed to transfer me to the department who could send me a file....yhew...about an hour ago the file link arrived in my email....the last agent was defiantly in the states and he couldnt tell me were the other agent wer located....

I thought that outsourced agent were suppose to fully disclose if they were in the states or outside if asked these two were not being straight.......How sad that American corporations have no regard anymore for total customer satisfacion

1. I knew this would happen when Adobe gobbled Macromedia
They have become the most arrogant, unhelpful company this side of Halliburton.

I spent $400 on Dreamweaver and found out there is no owner's manual -- you have to go out and buy one (for real).

:grr: :wtf:
