Lieberman Confronted By Troops In Iraq: ‘When Are We Going To Get Out Of Here?’
Lieberman Confronted By Troops In Iraq: ‘When Are We Going To Get Out Of Here?’

Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) made an unannounced trip to Iraq today, telling reporters, “what I see here today is progress, significant progress.” Hours later, he was confronted by U.S. soldiers with a very different message: “We don’t feel like we’re making any progress.”

McClatchy reports tonight on Spc. David Williams, who collected questions for Lieberman from 30 other troops.

At the top of his note card was the question he got from nearly every one of his fellow soldiers:

“When are we going to get out of here?”

Money is the only thing that matters to them...So lie, and keep the war for profit continuing as long as possible...Stealing our billions in tax dollars and billions in un-metered Iraqi oil...and the troops are there to die for and protect the corporate imperialist & their stealing and greed.

2. Lieberman's response was "It would be a victory for al Qaeda and Iran" to leave
...so I guess to answer the soldiers question in Lieberman's whimpy voice...."Never, if I can help it."

3. My husband just said something that was poignant but probably
true...Did they take him by the morgue when he made that comment? Was he looking at the corpses of the dead when he said that "what I see here is progress. significant progress"?

9. What would the asshole from CT know about progress??!!

Wouldn't he have to be there for a few weeks, without body armor, to be able to say that progress is being made???!!!!!!

I hate that asshole and all that run over there for a well-armored photo op saying how good it is.

10. And to think he could have been our Vice President -
Oh my God - how little did we really know about him? He is another McCain in sheep's clothes! I can't believe how low these people go to justify their chilling demands and shareholders dreams!

As a mother of 2 sons who have served and 1 of them who might have to go again I can't tell you how much I have tried to get the word out! We just must keep fighting for our rights and get our country back from the true corporate thieves that make the carpet baggers of the Civil War look like Sunday School Teachers -

God will be their judge!

:grr:
