My daughter stood smiling at her best friend across the street
Both are 6 yrs old and play together everyday. They hadn't seen one another all day (my daughter was gone most the day at nana's house) and it was just about bedtime.

They smiled at each other, big hug, and laughed and played for about 20 min before both needed to go in.

They don't always get along, kids will be kids. But they are always glad to see one another.

Seeing that tonight reminded me of DU in a way and my online friends I have here.

We might not always get along, but I glad to see your sorry asses :)

An old proverb: It takes longer to write out "You're and asshole and I can't believe you feel that way about the topic" than it does to say "We differ on it my friend, let's have a beer"

And one has a lot more draining power for all involved.

I am glad I saw you online today. Even on it's worst days, there are things on DU to make me smile and forget the stress of the day.

Now excuse me while I go dredge up some threads about Edwards' house and such from earlier in the year, I like to look back and laugh a little ;)

6. I think it's okay to say "I hate you" one minute and then hold hands the next
It's healthier that way. Once every great while, ya gotta take the dragons out for a walk.

Best not to take anything personally.

7. some see the the life and death aspect and others see lumbering political aspest, others are cynical
i tend to want to SCREAM People are dying RIGHT NOW and Millions are Suffering in Iraq alone, we are Making thousands of terrorists a day we got to do somehting NOW... one will reply will that in 08 we can do something about it.. and another says, why bother, all politicians are crupt and why bother at all...

which is why i found Abhorant to call Cindy a Whore of any sort... but others said she needed to be brought down because she was a 'Sacred cow'.. or whatever.. she did something what did you do, she lost the most precious thing a mother can lose.. what did you lose.. only mother who lost a son or daughter can throw the first stone

they wanted her muzzled because she was doing something about the war, and expressing her frustration and couldnt make a rational arguement against her.. so they made up shit. do what she did for as long as she has and with her burdon and see if you get frustrated. then consider how you would feel if someone called you a whore for doing it.

not many did.. but too many agreed with the ReThug propaganda
