When a caller professes to be a long time member of the "democrat" party and then enthuses about the remarkable "ideas" professed by Thompson, who has never had an original idea in his entire life, my disgust reached such a level that I turned it off.
This is just crap, all crap and I cannot abide it.
Cspan used to be a forum that attracted a majority of thoughtful participants but now is nothing more than a charade-a place for uninformed, unintelligent partisans to play.

That's the reason I avoided politics for most of my life and is rapidly bringing me back to that same mind. It's all a joke! A big, dangerous, corrupt, ugly, lethal joke.

I detest those people, with the only caveat being that there are some that I detest more than others.

13. This morning's callers proved the point

that Republicans are emotional voters. They all are hot for Thompson. When asked why, they had no clue on any of his beliefs...they just know they want to vote for him. No why involved.
It's the emotion, fed by hate radio culture. Before the last general election, several of us at work took an online test where you had to check off where you stood on a long list of issues. The Republicans were shocked to find out that, going by the issues, they were....Democrats! Yet they voted for Bush. Why? "Because he's the kind of guy you'd have a beer with!"
And Thompson is the kind of guy you'd have a scotch with. Issues be damned.
