4. Ferocious, savage, brutal
Per the dictionary - Yes. What a wonderful mascot. And my quasi Hog Shrine is on display in my garage complete with an original Hog Hat!

Per my alma mater, I'm proud of my Razorback Red State.

2. I like Arkansas; when we went to fish at the Norfork & White R, we found
the state to be very clean. The roads didn't have any trash along them for miles and miles. Great people, great catfish and great local music.

3. If you ever get the opportunity
Visit Eureka Springs (way up northwest Arkansas) in the fall. Its a little community of aging hippies, the geography is incredible (the Switzerland of the Ozarks). Its like traveling to another planet. Incredibly beautiful.

6. The story warmed the cockles of my heart
I was an obnoxious Razorback Fan (is there any other kind?) when I was in the Navy. I had a large ceramic Hog on my desk which my Sailors had to bow to upon entering my office. It often got kidnapped, even got a couple ransom notes, but its still proudly serving me in my retired "I love me Office."

10. There's a sale on Razorback stuff this week as Wal-Mart's on campus for their shareholders'
meeting. You need anything, just let me know.

12. I get to town on occasion
I love that drive north of Alma on the new interstate and that incredible sight of Ole Main through the rocks. There used to be an awesome Drive-in on Highway 62 heading for Farmington which is now a Wal-Mart. I have some wonderful (pornographic) memories of nights at that drive in in my old pickup truck when I was in high school. Thanks very much for the offer. If I got any more Razorback stuff in the house, my Jayhawk wife will move me into the garage.

and don't forget Razorback Track and Field. And hopefully the Hog Baseballers will get to Omaha this year. Goodness gracious my four years at UA were nothing but magic.

11. I was a student from 75-79
There was a move at the time to tear down Ole Main and build a parking lot on that space. The Alumni Association went ballistic, thank God. I had a few classes in Ole Main, what a truly regal structure. I must say the campus (and Fayetteville) were more charming in the 60's and 70's then they are today but I still love it every time I visit with a corresponding stroll down Dickson Street. My name is forever etched in the Senior Walk in front of Mullins library and to the right. I wish I still lived in that incredible town.

15. The fumble is forever etched in my psyche!
We were at a bar in Biloxi, it was pouring rain. Almost as painful as the Game of the Century in 69 when Texas scored 15 unanswered points to beat the Hogs 15-14. Number one vs number two with Nixon in the stands.

16. I have to give DU credit -- no one has argued that razorback is an insult to Islam

Razorback --> hog --> pork --> unclean animal ---> etc etc etc.

18. Didn' even think of that
To me a Razorback is something for my ballcap or sweatshirt or mantle or mouse pad or license plate or bumper sticker. Love My Hogs. Thanks for pointing that out. I extremely doubt that the Arkansas Athletic Department has anything against Muslims.

because that was a rather big undertaking. Looks just like the Hog on Center Court at the Basketball Arena.
