Surprising birthday cards slamming Bush et al
I went to Rite Aid today to buy a birthday card for my hubby.

One said, "Sometimes, wisdom does NOT come with age", with a picture of Bush with his monkey mouth on.

The other was a picture of Bush and Rice with their hair on fire that said, "Yeah, Condi, that Global Warming is nothing but a bunch of hooey".

I've never seen birthday cards slam a sitting President before.

3. wow
Remember how he was untouchable just a few years ago in the fall of 02? The Dixie Chicks were practically lynched to criticize him. Now Target is making money off of it? Awesome. That would have been nice to know at the time that it would have eventually ended.

An even better sign is the new cartoon show about "Lil Bush" on Comedy Central coming soon. I can't wait it looks spot-on!

13. *snort*
I sent that one to my sister! I bought it at the local chain drugstore (CVS).

It's been instructive standing in lines lately - at the Post Office, at the gas station, in the super market, at the drugstore. People are not happy with Bushco. They're now saying out loud things I used to mutter under my breath (for fear of being lynched) and other people are cheering them on. I actually saw a guy angrily rip the "W" sticker off his SUV after paying to fill his tank. Of course, he was still driving that obscene gas-hog of a vehicle, but I suspect that is one more vote the Republicans can kiss off come next November.

10. In 2005 I got one with the "brazillion" joke.
The front had Cheney telling Bush that our troops in Iraq would be bolstered with Brazilian troops. The insdie had Bush saying, "That's fantastic! How many is a brazillion?"

14. I have always sent my brother political birthday cards....
we both love them. They had a hay day with Clinton but Dubya has surpassed even Clinton on variety. Target is a great place to find them. We use to have an indy record shop 'Cactus' that had the best cards. I miss Cactus.
