MSNBC Seeks Morning Show Feedback from You
Sounds like MSNBC hasn't made a decision about its morning programming quite yet.

newsVIPs, an online opinion panel used by NBC, is asking for feedback about the rotating hosts seen on MSNBC since Don Imus' departure.

"As you may know, MSNBC has been experimenting with a variety of hosts in the 6am-9am hour to replace Imus in the Morning. We are interested in your opinions of the programs that have aired thus far," the survey reads.

David Gregory and Joe Scarborough have both received press attention as potential replacements...

1. I listened to Joe from 9-10 and from 10-11 when he was only on WFAN
Surprisingly I kind of liked him.

I liked Stephanie Miller better, but I dont think she is being considered (plus her ratings were not all that good).

2. I just did the survey - they ask you to rate all the hosts
they had so far including Stephanie. Actually I thought it was a good survey. Don't know if it will make any difference, but it can't hurt. I could live with Gregory or Scarborough, but yuck to Elder, Smerconish or Tucker.

3. They may have included her, but in the grand scheme of things, I dont think they will look at her.
Just my opinion. I think they want to go after the Imus audience the best they can. And also from what I have seen, Gregory and Scarborough have done the best ratings wise.

4. Gregory and Scarborough both used WFAN staff.
Charles McCord, Lou in the booth, and Chris Carlin on sports - those guys' presence added that Imus kind of feeling to the morning show. No wonder those replacement hosts garnered more favor with the former Imus fans.

5. The Imus fans I have talked to, do not care for Gregory

They hate him. The more right-leaning Imus Fans view him as a an awful liberal. Scarborough they see as a Republican in Name only, but they at least like him better than Gregory.

6. I'm an Imus fan, and I prefer Gregory to Scarborough,
and Steph to both. She's not gonna happen.

MSNBC needs a placeholder. Gregory can be that. Even "Dead Intern Joe" can be that. The AM slot will be filled by informercials (or something else moneymaking) within a years' time.
