1. 599 days until Bush gets away with it... |
|
I can't really celebrate that. The man needs to be locked up at Florence ADX. Or maybe even Guantanamo.

7. I personally like Leavenworth but those would work too. |
|
And I don't think he will get away with it. We may not impeach him but we will try him eventually for war crimes.

Doesn't look like impeachment is going to happen anytime soon or that they will resign in shame... especially as they have no shame.
But I will celebrate that we have come this far and that there is less time ahead. We broke the 600 day mark.

25. I am willing to wager that bush will be out of office before then |
|
Could be impeachment, could be other reasons, don't know how yet, but I do have a very strong intuitive sense that it will be less than 599 days.
The body politik in this country is SERIOUSLY ill and in need of, shall we say, a massive enema, so to speak.

5. And then the new President can take over the occupation of Iraq! |
|
I no longer believe that this government - Democrat or Republican - has any intentions of ever leaving Iraq. Period. It is something that we will have to live with and the Iraqis will have to die with...

8. Well the good news there |
|
is we can't afford to stay there. Our economy will not stand for an indefinite time paying what we are now paying.
I guess that is good news.

|
Hopefully the investigations will continue to slow them down. *co is losing its base, the Publicans in Congress will jump ship sooner than the August/September deadline.
Compared to how I felt in late November 2004, this is a good day.

I was counting today as most of it is still in front of me here in the Midwest. But your number brings it closer still. :hi:

We are running the clock to the end and hopefully we can keep them from getting the ball or at least scoring. So far, this seems to be working as our bench is deeper than theirs and their players keep dropping like flies.

Former Bulls fan here. Still miss Michael Jordan. Wish I knew less of what an idiot he is in his private life. But those were great games to watch!

|
in times of emergency, look for something big to happen before the end of the year . . . that's all he needs to cancel the 2008 elections . . .

17. My pitchfork is sharpened for just such a situation. |
|
Remember, there are over 300 million people for him to control. Not to mention our allies getting a bit concerned over martial law here too.
I am not saying I am not worried about that but the numbers do comfort me. Hell, he hasn't been able to manage anything effectively up to now - don't think he can do it on his own.
AND, not to mention he would have to have the military agree to it as well. Somehow I think they won't comply.

23. Some are hopeful for the smaller numbers. |
|
Technically speaking though, without impeachment, imprisonment, or just plain ol' resigning, we have the large number remaining. Good that we have 2300 days behind us though. We will come out in the end toughened and wiser for our abuse of the past 7-8 years.
