Mario Cuomo was right: As a politician, Wes Clark has a lot to learn.
"Wes Clark is a man of whom you can ask a question, and he will look you directly in the eye, and give you the most truthful and complete answer you can imagine. You will know the absolute truth of the statement as well as the thought process behind the answer. You will have no doubt as to the intellect of the speaker and meaning of the answer to this question....So you can see, as a politician, he has a lot to learn." -Mario Cuomo

I listened to Clark speak at Stanford University last week, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that statement is absolutely correct.

I really respect Wes Clark. As much as the Rove machine wants to make "security" (Clark's stongest suit) an issue in the 2008 race, I think it should be about accountability and justice. Having said that, I think any Dem nominee would be well served by the guidance of General Clark as a cabinet nominee or a VP on their tickect.

And Mario Cuomo should be appointed to the SCOTUS by the next administration.

On edit: That seems to be what Al Gore is saying about himself. Is this a new meme?
