Bartlett's resignation - put on your tin-foil thinking caps....
Tim Griffin resigns following Conyers request for BBC Documents regarding the e-mails that Greg Palast has... and then there's the testimony of Goodling relating to Griffin and vote caging...

Now Bartlett 'suddenly' resigns to spend more time with family and/or seek private sector work. Bartlett has been with bush for 14 years. For someome who has been with bush for so long it's a bit strange there wasn't any "rumors" of his intentions to resign prior to the 'official' announcement. A few other news stories also indicate other staffers will also be resigning.

Bartlett said he decided to leave now in order to provide sufficient time for the White House to find a replacement, something expected to happen before he ends his tour of duty. He also said it would not be "uncommon " to see other Bush aides leave in coming weeks or months.

The spin is resignation are not uncommon as a presidency nears it's end... nothing to see...move along....

but I wonder.... is it just a matter of people looking to their own futures, and moving along.... or is something else going on to prompt them to move along?

Specific to Bartlett - is he connected to Griffin and vote caging? to Gonzo-gate?

CIA/Plame outing? ( Leak Case: Will Rove Testify? - Newsweek National News - MSNBC.comThe president's political guru—and counselor Dan Bartlett—have been subpoenaed by Scooter Libby's lawyers. What it means for the most-watched trial in ...
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16832257/site/newsweek/ ) The judge in Libby's case has said he will release the letters he has received regarding Libby's sentencing... could there be something "embarassing" in there from Bartlett?

or is this just a case of moving along and he really wants to spend more time with his family? is there any there there?

From reports on the InternetS, Bush is acting stranger and stranger as his second term is coming to an end. Maybe Barlett has heard * plans to nuc Iran  or some act that he does not want to be associated with.

4. after listening to people talk about the new nixon book on npr
and reports on bush`s behavior, i`d say bush is slowly going mad. everyone of bush`s long time advisers are leaving or have left.gonzo is the last one left and when he goes cheney and karl will be in total control.
