A Brave New Authoritarian World
Edited on Sat Jun-02-07 10:26 AM by ck4829
Ever since Bush declared that "Freedom's on the March", several countries have fallen to military dictatorships, Iran, Russia, and Venezuela have become less free and have attacked dissenters, and as for those countries that have not become outright dictatorships, they have instead become ruled by the mob and the death squads, as in Iraq, the Palestinian Territories, and Colombia.

This must be the dream of the Neo-Cons, this must be as Bush put it, "our country's destiny."

We have to take action, fight them in any way possible, and when we vote in 2008, we've got to remember that it won't be just our country we'll be trying to save but possibly freedom all around the world along with it.

1. He feeds the forces he supposedly wants eliminated
*'s endless wars & sanctions & unitary executive rhetoric inflame & grow those extremists in every country where even a moderately democratic government has been trying to grow closer ties with the US - once a beacon of true democracy.

He & his neocon chicken hawks seem pathologically incapable of understanding that we reap what we sow. Seed the world with bluster & occupy & make preemptive strikes & that's what you'll harvest. Countries in the Middle East right now like Saudi Arabia & Jordan etc. are in increased danger from the radicals in their midst because they've been working closely with the US. They'll have to side with Russia or China or somewhere else to attempt to hold back the wolves at their own doors.

And Chimpy is in meltdown. His family problems are enormous, his base is turning against him and his VP is trying to force his own brand of foreign policy upon the prez. It's a bloody nightmare. I hope the cork stays in the bottle until the 2008 elections.
