Democrats' politics of failure
Last Updated: June 2, 2007, 03:05:31 AM PDT
It must really exasperate liberals knowing that the worst president of all time was better than their best. But what will truly chafe is when the USS George H.W. Bush sets sail and becomes the sister ship of the USS Ronald Reagan.
It took Damascus Nancy Pelosi and Searchlight Harry Reid only six months after the elections to put Congress in a quagmire. Instead of congressional work, they appear to have been working on a new game show called "Liberal Lingo." They think they can win by using words from their redundant buzzword list. The list is repeated daily in the Letters to the Editor.
Examples of redundant buzzwords are: "Liah," as articulated by Teddy Kennedy; "is," as uttered by Bill Clinton; and "failed," as uttered by Searchlight Harry, as well as "Hitler," "hillbilly" and "incompetent."
Since Jimmy Carter failed to liberate the hostages in Iran and failed to get a handle on inflation, he could enjoy his trend of failure once again by being the master of ceremonies for a TV version of the game. Al Gore could be a guest on the show so he could demonstrate his latest failed ideas.

Republicans' logic-free rhetoric
Last Updated: June 2, 2007, 03:05:31 AM PDT
Ever noticed the hysterically conservative fringe seldom uses logic to advance their skewed philosophy? Like schoolchildren they resort to taunts, name-calling, buzzwords and phrases, slogans and talking points repeated ad nauseam by mindless motormouths such as Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson, in an attempt to denigrate the Democratic Party.
These self-appointed guardians of truth, justice and the American way all chose to cut and run from military service as young men (except for Robertson, who served as liquor procurement officer for the Marine Corps officer club in Okinawa during the Korean War), yet have the unmitigated hypocrisy to question the patriotism of such legitimate war heroes from the Democratic Party as John Kerry, Jack Murtha, Charlie Rangel, Jim Webb and Gen. Wesley Clark.
It appears the Republican Party will have little to run on but slogans in '08, so I thought I might suggest one: "Eat tainted meat, breathe poisoned air, drink nasty water, help only yourself: Vote Republican."
