Is the New Iraq the same as the Old Iraq or even worse?
Forget about the death squads, the civil war, and the mass exodus for a second.

What's coming out of the Maliki government?

* The "New Iraq" has risen to one of the states that use the Death Penalty the most

* The "New Iraq" censors the news about car bombings and terrorism

* The "New Iraq" has had billions of dollars 'just disappear' connected to reconstruction efforts

* The "New Iraq" is governed by certain Shi'a, not wanting reconciliation with their Sunni neighbors, but revenge

So is the New Iraq the same as the Old Iraq or could it be even worse?

2. I can't even comment
There are not enough sarcasm tags in the universe for where I would say in a reply.

4. W chose to destroy Iraq
and turn it's resources over to his global buds. It took so long for the public to wake up.

5. It's hard to say
Given the qualification "Forget about the death squads, the civil war, and the mass exodus for a second."

Remember Saddam was still a tyrant who killed many of his own people. The big thing for me is how would women's rights be in the new government, compared to with Saddam.
