"Plot not technically feasible"
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/014432.php

From Josh Marshall:

Reading over the reports of this alleged JFK terror plot, I again feel the odd sense of dissonance and contradiction one always gets reading the initial reports of these alleged terror plots. A knowledgeable reader tells me the whole concept of this attack basically doesn't make sense -- in the sense that you could get the sort of chain reaction some folks on tv are talking about. And, indeed, this key fact is tepidly noted in the coverage itself, where DHS officials concede that the plot "was not technically feasible."

The relevant information from this report at CNN suggests that the key plotter, Russell Defreitas, is not a bright man.

Here's part of the transcript of one of his conversations with the FBI ...

"Anytime you hit Kennedy, it is the most hurtful thing to the United States. To hit John F. Kennedy, wow ... they love JFK -- he's like the man. If you hit that, this whole country will be in mourning. It's like you can kill the man twice."

Defreitas also appeared to think that blowing up a gas line at JFK would bring the US economy to its knees: "Even the Twin Towers can't touch it. This can destroy the economy of America for some time."

1. Wow. Defreitas sounds stupid enough for a major post in
the misAdministration. Not that I want to give them any ideas...

It's the smart ones you have to worry about. I feel so much safer knowing the Dept. of Homeland Security is right on top of things.

14. How, pray tell, does the DHS make you feel more secure?
In what ways do you feel that the DHS is "on top of things"?

Did DHS make you feel more secure after KatrinaBush? What about the private ammo magazine/warehouse that was robbed last year of large amounts of explosives? How about the recent tornado that wiped out an entire town? What about "TB guy" who was deemed such a threat to public saftey yet traveled the world after being classified as being such a threat? What about all of the domestic chemical & nuclear plants
that are not required to have additional security measures since 9/11 or the creation of DHS?

For my money--and peace of mind--I want to see DHS be dismantled. We have the FBI and the CIA.

this story and the tuberculosis story don't add up
both are coming out at the same time.

Remember Homeland Security being involved with this story and the timing of it?
John Mark Karr ......August 2006 and there were tons of damaging stories coming out.

10. The timings of terror plots are suspect now.
Seven years ago, I didn't think that GWB stole the election and Gore lost
by a fair elections. The justice department is being used as a political arm
that comes from the head of this administration on so many levels.

Seven years ago, I would have bought this story
but I've researched and read too much now that
all stories are now suspect which comes out the
mouths of this government.

I was right about the other stories being false flags for distraction.

Where is Jonbennet Ramsey or Teri Shavio when they need them.

12. Remember the story of 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf'? That's where I'm
at in a nutshell. I believe nothing because time and again, they've proved nothing and just seem to get these stories out there to keep people frightened. That, in the long run, could be bad for me, but that's how I feel.

15. The faux is doing fine in the hen house
creating so many henny pennys that
Cocky-locky gets his neck bit off
and henny penny runs away, while Foxy-woxy
gets away with murder.

The faux is in the hen house.

Sorry the story I linked is not an original Aesop fable,
who is one my favorite great greek authors,
but comes from another Aesop tale I couldn't find right now.

The boy that cried wolf, the emperors new clothes, etc.

sometimes parables are the only thing adults and children
can understand.

17. I'd like to know if this guy
came up with the idea or if an FBI infiltrator suggested it (like in the Miami 7 case).

I just think that hitting something named after JFK is the kind of thing that Ann Coulter (and others of her ilk) would approve of.

I think they all eat takeout because none of them can cook or even nuke successfully.

13. The second I heard about it on the radio tonight, my reaction was "another group of morons"
that they are going to play up as major terrorists. It didn't sound feasible at all.
