Culture of Corruption goes international. Police raid Liberal Party headquarters in Queensland.
Edited on Sat Jun-02-07 09:52 PM by ck4829
The Liberal Party's last big get-together before this year's federal election has been overshadowed by a police raid on the party's state headquarters in Queensland.

Senior Liberals attempted to play down the police investigation into the party's state director Geoff Greene and three federal MPs over alleged electorate allowance rorting.

But the Australian Federal Police raid on Friday took the gloss off the Liberal Party's federal council meeting in Sydney, where Prime Minister John Howard and Treasurer Peter Costello urged voters to resist the temptation to change government at this year's election.

"Change for the sake of change is never an end in itself," Mr Howard told the council's formal breakfast on Saturday morning.

BTW, in case you didn't know the Liberal Party is anything but liberal. John Howard is also one of Bush's few remaining supporters who stand with him in the rape and pillaging of Iraq.

2. actually. there are
not in any great numbers mind you, about 1500 including a warship in the Gulf. Howard is rusted on to his support of this war and should lose votes over it come Nov/Dec election. He was criticized by Obama for not putting enough troops on the ground, little man talk big. All foreign troops should be out of Iraq now.

Peace

5. Australian troops have been in Iraq since day 1
admittedly not many, and not as many as Howard should send given he is such a proponent of the war, but have been there since the illegal invasion.
