March 26: Blasted Partisan Democrats
I really wish the Democrats would take George Bush's advice and stop being so partisan over the U.S. attorneys firings. It's just so partisan to expect Karl Rove to take an oath to tell the truth.

And, really, if the Democrats weren't so partisan, and would leave Bush alone, then he could get on with his job of firing any Republican attorneys that weren't sufficiently loyal to him.

Once he rooted out any attorneys who refused to speed up prosecution of Democrats and drag their feet on prosecution of Republicans, then there would be no more partisanship in the government. Blasted partisan Democrats.

1. I've read it several times, but I still don't understand it.
Doyle blasts Dems for being partisan but says that if the "partisan" would leave * alone then he could get with his job of firing repukes who weren't sufficiently loyal to him. Maybe I just need to brush up on English but this makes no sense.

3. It's satire
Pointing fun at the Republicans who are calling the Democrats partisan for investigating their partisanship.

6. I live in Nacogdoches.
I can't believe the Tyler paper printed that.

Boy, when that kind of stuff gets in the local paper around here, you know Bush is screwed.

March 27: So Help Them God?
President George Bush says he will allow some of his top aides to testify before Congress about the recent U.S. attorneys firings, although he insists the "testimony" be given without being sworn and not in public. We the People shouldn't get to see it.

This leads to several questions:

What do they have to hide? Why can't they pubicly tell us what happened? Are they refusing to be sworn so they can retain the option to lie? What part of the words "So help me God" scares them?
