Can a Canadian put in her two cents worth on the debate?
This is the first time I have seen an American political debate that impressed me.
All the participants were articulate and thoughtful in their responses and came across as trust worthy and able....with the exception of Gravel of Alaska, who for the most part I thought was unintelligible.
As a Canadian, I would be happy to see any one of them (excepting Gravel) as the new President of the United States. Lord knows, the world sure needs a replacement for Bush!
Good Luck America!!!!!!

6. Ours is completely paid for by the government ....they pay the bills but do
not have ANY say in what doctors or treatments we have. They merely pay the bills. Hillary was up here when she was doing her study and liked what we were doing.....I don't know how much of our plan she recommended but from what I understand her plan was not well received down there.

8. The only one that seems to have a model like yours is Kucinich
All the rest want to keep feeding the pigs (insurance companies)

12. When pigs get fat, they are slaughtered for bacon.
I like bacon. Perhaps the insurance companies need to...finally...become food.

9. Jon Stewart's Jason Jones did a hilarious bit a few months ago where
he went to a border town in Vermont and interviewed an old guy who was sitting in a lawn chair with binoculars, watching for Canadians sneaking over the border. It was soooo funny. The old guy said "we have to stop those Canadians from coming across to our country and taking advantage of our health care, and bringing diseases like TB and leprosy!" No kidding, he said leprosy!

That's just my opinion....others may disagree.

18. I disagree...
But I'm certainly glad that it's not a "he has no chance!!!" kind of thing. I like what I've heard from him thus far, though I don't have TV, and consequentially didn't see the most recent debate. Gravel, followed closely by Kucinich are my candidates of choice. And though I'm loathe to admit it, from what I've gleaned of Ron Paul (R) - Not A Douchebag, I'd cast a vote for him over the most recent incarnation of "Clin-ton".

Yeah, I know, flame on...

19. I wonder if those who like Ron Paul know how he feels about medicare?
I heard him say yesterday, (I can't remember who he was talking to), that if he was President he would do everything he could to end medicare. He said he thinks all health care should be left to let the free market decide the cost.
