Breaking News on MSNBC: Paris in Jail:Day 1
She has no cellmate. She had bread, cereal and juice for her first meal. The MSNBC anchor's response was "Carbs, carbs, sugar, sugar. I don't think that's right." :banghead:

11. Maybe . . .
Paris can audition for Imus' slot when she gets out, since the slot seems to have been opened up to any and everyone.

Great work MSNBC, I know you guys will keep us updated throughout her stay.

5. Can someone clear up if she actually could have gone to a 'pay jail'?
An hour ago I read of Hilton saying that she had the option to go to a pay jail and had refused. I was like, WHAT, I thought the judge specifically barred her from having that option on the day she didn't show up for her hearing on time.

7. You are assuming that she will be released early on good behavior. She can't ruin her reputation
by actually behaving.

20. And there's a problem with that?
I think if I was the officer in charge of that jail I'd rather have Paris Hilton (whiny but not really uncontrollable) than a methhead. Paris ain't gonna kick my officers' asses because she thinks she's bein' dissed by one of them..

She fucked up, y'know? Did something stupid as shit, and once she gets out she probably won't do it again. As opposed to someone who has to go out and commit a felony within 24 hours of release because she has no legal way to make a living.

Tell me something: is a truck going to come to the house and haul off my Ozzy albums if I mention that I actually LIKE "Stars are Blind"?

12. I'm a nurse that works at the local county jail
And I can tell you most everything they eat are carbs except for an occasional chicken leg. I've seen inmates gain massive amounts of weight. Of course not smoking crack/meth maybe part of the weight gain. It's costing the county millions of dollars to run the jail and they cut costs as much as possible.

Also I wonder if they are treating her for potential alcohol withdrawal. If that's the case she'll get benzo's

17. I have done some work at the county jail here
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 12:36 PM by dogday
Not only the meals, but the commissary they get, and then they don't get the chance to exercise, if they are lucky maybe once a week they get 45 minutes of exercise... But that is that problem, and yes the crack addicts are the ones that you see the biggest difference in weight gain... That and many of them are put on anti-depressants and anti-psychotic drugs that make them hungry as well...
