Democrats have a chance to Rove GOP on illegal immigration (use their strength against them)
The core constituency and cash cow of the GOP is corporations, financial institutions, and Wall Street scammers.

Imagine if that was an albatross around their neck with the Rush Limbaugh fans.

Imagine a commercial that had a picture of a guy in a Brooks Brother suit and Larry the Cable Guy, and a voice over that says, "When Republicans had to choose between taking care of their corporate donors or taking care of their hard-working voters on illegal immigration, they chose the corporate donors. When else are they choosing them over you?"

1. Not a bad idea
I don't know if we actually need to insert ourself in this debate for that to happen though; Conservative Talk Radio has been keen on pushing this line already.

8. could be a way for them to differentiate themselves from Bush
though it's hard to imagine Bush falling on his sword to help someone else.

10. TWO POINTS: Democrats need to show they are an alternative & repetition never hurts
which is how right convinced a whole generation they will never get social security.

2. We could but we'd rather fight among ourselves, which let's
the right wing use that to their advantage. Remember the "Dean Scream", not only was it used against Howard by the media, causing him to lose in the primaries when he was ahead, but DUers smashed and slashed him with the circular firing squad, something the freepers gleefully reported on their website.

3. We could but we'd rather fight among ourselves and self-destruct.

Remember the "Dean scream", not only was it used against Howard by the media, causing him to lose in the primaries when he was ahead, but DUers smashed and slashed him with the circular firing squad, something the freepers gleefully reported on their website with much gusto.

4. Excuse me
don't more dems support immigration reform than repugs? In Georgia repugs are furious at Bubba Chambliss for supporting immigration reform but, the two democratic contenders are both against the "amnesty" bill. One candidate is white and the other is black. So by demagoguing immigrating, who do you help?

7. if you point out that amnesty helps corporations, you help those Dems you mentioned. Also,
the goal is not to help any Dem, but to tame the beast that wants to own both parties, corporations.

But we may only have to wait and watch; they killed themselves on this all by themselves right before the midterms last November. They can't help it.
