"Dodd attacks Blitzer on time" (The corporate news network tilts the playing field)
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 01:18 PM by TahitiNut
If it hasn't been clear to the viewer, then it probably will never be clear to that viewer ... but the overt bias shown by Blitzer in service to his AIPAC and Corporate masters was quite obvious in last night's "debate."

In just the first half of this Korporate Kabuki show ...

CLINTON 9:25, 9 questions
Wolf Blitzer 8:38
OBAMA 8:19, 9 questions
RICHARDSON 7:23, 6 questions
EDWARDS 7:06, 8 questions
BIDEN 4:45, 5 questions
DODD 4:00, 4 questions
GRAVEL 2:59, 5 questions
KUCINICH 2:28, 3 questions

Hillary got more than three times as much time as Kucinich - and it wasn't an accident: she got three times the number of questions directed to her.

Here're the final results ...

Just who the fuck knew that Blitzer was running for the Presidency??? He sucked up as much time as Biden and Gravel combined!!

6. I was watching closely and it seemed very clear that positions most favorable to the corporatists ..
... were afforded the most time, even in repetition/echoes. Every time a stance was voiced that was least inimical to "corporate interests," it was drawn out. When Kucinich voiced opposition to the stranglehold of the insurance sector on health care, he was closed down. It was overt, imho.

10. What? It's CNN's call. I'd say THEY are shit as a corporation
The dynamic and story line of this campaign has apparently been determined ahead of time. And not by us.
Its like bread and circuses.

4. Not only did Wolfie direct it in that way, he would cut off the "lower tier"
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 01:25 PM by Norquist Nemesis
almost as soon as they began to answer or respond to something. It was irritating to hear, "yeah, alright, we have to move on".

I also heard the head of the NH Democrats was none too happy about the way Wolfie ran the "show" as well!

5. "yeah, alright, we have to move on"
Oddly enough, that's what I said when I got sick of it all and turned the channel.

7. ROFL!
 That's what I did with the "respondents" who were so 'carefully' screened for post-debate.

8. Tell me about it.
It's bad enough he comes on CNN twice a day now. What nerve of him to take up all that time when we are supposed to hear from all the candidates equally.

9. K&R....I couldn't watch it...hard as I tried...figured it was "set up."
the format was like a cattle call with them all standing up there behind lecterns waiting for Mr. AIPAC to grill them. Seems it turned out like that.

12. I just hope people noticed
Maybe more people will want to hear the other candidates speak now that they've seen them hushed.

But I doubt it.

Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 06:37 PM by devilgrrl
has anyone else heard that? If so, why hasn't anyone confronted him with it? Especially in light of Mr. Robertson's non-ranked law school.

Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 06:53 PM by ordinaryaveragegirl
Will he try to run a bipartisan, under the table campaign with free media time??? Stay tuned!!!

Seriously, I thought the job of a moderator was to keep things in check, and make sure views are equally heard, as much as possible. Leslie, it's a presidential debate, not hour 5 of "The Situation Room!" Get over yourself, buddy LOL!

24. I'm willing to bet that Romney gets more time than anyone.
I think he's the corporatists' choice in the GOP - McCain second and Rudy a distant third.
