Mary Matalin signs on as an "unpaid adviser" to Fred Thompson

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0607/4309.html

<snip>

Mary Matalin, the former counselor to Vice President Cheney, says she will be advising Thompson. A campaign source says she will be an unpaid adviser. Matalin is friends with Thompson and his wife, Jeri, and her involvement began informally, the source says.

8. Bad move, Hillary. You know the flow of information will be one way.
And that is from Hillary to James to Mary.

4. Passing on every scrap of info she gets our of her hubby, too.
No Dem candidate or organization should let Carville have any involvement with them.

5. Not suprised- saw her on meet the press-
In response to every question she gave non-sequitor responses about how Fred Thompson was well positioned. I figured she was on the payroll.

11. I hope she is advising him not to run.
i never thought of her as being an intellectual. Just because she is a bitch does not mean that she would be helpful to any candidate.

13. This "unpaid advisor" crap is just that
It allows people like Matalin and her SerpentHead to go on all the pundit shows and shill for their candidates, without having to be identified as campaign staffers (which might require that they be balanced with a staffer from an opposing campaign on their appearances).

14. No doubt she will advise them to piss off and belittle democrats by
showing his disdain with constantly referring to the "democrat" party and "democrat" policy. Make sure you try to paint democrats as far worse in the matters of ethics and corruption.
Keep on painting that thrice and more convicted felon and treason imitator, "Scooter" Libby as a victim of partisan politics brought on by "democrat" activists and that "democrat" sympathizer, Pat FitZgerald, his "Democrat," accessory, Joe Wilson.

Sure, advise him to follow that conniving "compassionate" conservative, George "wrongway" Brush, in his pursuit of peace on earth through murdering a million Arabs, Americans, and Persians and the maiming and torturing of at least three times that number.

Do your best to keep him from reading or referring to the history of the United States that shows every time conservatives acquire power, this country and its real source of strength-the middle class-go straight into the dumper. Nobody, especially that twenty eight percent representing the bottom feeders, really wants to hear the truth of the notion that people change, society changes, and times change.
Trying to drag this society back to witch burnings, enslavement of all dark people and the female half of the light skinned people, along with public hangings, floggings, dungeons and torture chambers is wet dream material for this crew and one should not offend public sensibility by talking about that, nor publishing pictures of the horrors which "compassionate conservative" idealism and its fundy offshoot produce.

Advise him, you low-brow intellectual, of all the fun he's gonna have, living in the white house and perpetuating more and more of that fine policy of ignoring the collapse of world-wide ecology while you have your cancer treated, at our expense, in that fine Walter Reed facility that your kind have done your best to destroy along with the attempt-ongoing-to saddle medicare with such horrendous expense and debt to private insurers and drug providers that it goes under.

Oh, wait a minute; he probably already knows that crap, so all you need to do is rub his back, while whispering in his ear all the things Shooter Cheney and Kilroy Rove want him to carry out when they steal another election for him.

I think I need to throw up.

15. Oh, goody. I apologize for the ad hominum attack, but Fred Thompson
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 03:35 PM by JDPriestly
is without a doubt the ugliest candidate in the history of the U.S. although GWB may disagree with me. In fact, I suspect
Fred Thompson was handpicked by GWB himself. Note the bald head and the big, imposing physique -- just GWB's type. Also Fred Thompson's jowls and sulk probably remind GWB of his mother's "smile." If Fred Thompson is the great white hope of the Republicans, we Democrats should have an easy time of it. He looks like a grumpy, nasty person. I find him physicallly repulsive.

Come to think of it, Carville is kind of a happy version of Fred Thompson.
