Granted the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan have created more terrorist and more hatred of the US but at the same time we are paying more attention to details. I do believe it is a lot harder to hijack an airliner now than six years ago. I bet it is even harder to get sensitive information on soft targets(dams, power plants, water reservoirs, etc.) in America. I believe in many ways we are indeed safer but I believe because of our aggressive foreign policy we will be tested more often than we should expect. I believe we can still turn world opinion around if the world sees accountability and a one hundred and eighty degree turn in our foreign policies.

1. The US (meaning us here in the 50 states) is safer. The world? The middle east? Well....
They're not "we" are they?

2. I think air travel is safer. I don't see that anything else is, though.

3. I feel safer.
But mainly because I live in a better neighborhood now than back then.

4. Obviously hijacking a plane is tougher. The other passengers would
simply beat the living daylights out of anyone who tried, but I don't think the government can take credit for this.
