I guess everyone working for AAR is hording gold!
That's what it sounds like. In fact, they all happen to buy all their gold from the same company -- "ITM Trading."

All (or almost all) of their on-air personalities read the same ad copy verbatim saying how they all have been buying gold from this outfit.

I understand how this is a way for the talent to make some extra money. Having a personality do an ad costs the advertiser a premium. But you'd think the advertiser would realize that having multiple on-air personalities do their ad, reading the identical copy, might undercut the believability of their claims.

(Of course, maybe they all have been buying gold from this outfit in which case it's a classic "pump and dump" scheme.)

I sure wish AAR's moribund sales staff would get off their asses and sell some inventory to more "real" companies. Even now, after all this time as well as a change in ownership, it's still mostly ads for scam products like sex aids, hair growth, predatory lenders and this gold scheme.

1. I can't say I listen to that much AM radio, but it seems like...
...there are always ads for products you don't see anywhere else, like epsom salts and stuff.

3. I don't remeber Franken doing that
but I am irritated that the rest do.

When they stop - we will know they finally have more advertisers.

I know Al wasn't a favorite among many here, but I miss him. When he wasn't being strangely goofy - he had more substantive guests and for longer segments than the others.

I bought car XM just to get AA and Al - now I cannot stand Lionel and Ed on their line up - still love Randi. Now listen to Nova on the net for Bill Press and Thom Hartmann. Stephanie is fun -- for a while - but I wnat more substance.
