1. 'Cell' is an old term
Those of us who remember the cold war might remember that we were told the 'local communists form cells - - in order to take over the USA!!'

7.  Prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells.
We are dealing with prokaryotic cells that have no nucleus
unless you think that Homeland security turns it into a eukaryotic cell
which could in turn evolve into a larger organism.

Outside of an enclave, it's a cell. Otherwise, it's a "training camp".
